Salsa Pico de Gallo.

Summer is around the corner, days are longer and full of light, our skin finally gets some colour and is time to socialize , patios, weddings and festivals are the kings of the season.

Our clothes are light, fresh and full of colour, and our food has not to be the exception, during the summer we are always looking for fresh, light and juicy food options., Salsa Pico de Gallo or Mexican Salsa is the queen in this field.

Sometimes when you eat authentic Mexican food in some restaurants, they give you this salsa stuff made with tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños, everything is chopped really fine, fresh and raw, an excellent option for vegans and healthy one for everyone.

To make this salsa great first of all use LIME JUICE!!! It really gives it that needed “punch”, I usually use a whole lime juiced., then add fresh cilantro (colander) and after this two add-ons ingredients, this salsa is borderline perfection, and you might end up chawin’ this all down before the fiesta starts.

There are customized ways to do this salsa, some people like to add chopped mango, red onion instead of white onion, maybe avocado, minced garlic, etc, whatever you customize version is, always have a solid foundation (tomatoes, onions, jalapeños) and personally in this salsa I never measure, I just went to taste. Remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect, just make it tasty and have fun with your taste buds.

This salsa is great to snack on tacos, guacamole and nachos, and of course accompanied with beers is the best!, after trying this salsa I’m pretty sure you will want to add it to almost everything. Juicy, tasty and fresh.

Here is an easy video recipe, and enjoy it as much as the summer.  Bonne Appetite!
